Role Overview

As an Avanade Software Engineering Consulting Intern in the US, you’ll join client-facing delivery teams to help design and build modern applications on Microsoft Azure. What You’ll Do

With guidance and mentorship, you will:

• Contribute to the design and development of features that solve real client business problems
• Support the development of server-side logic and REST APIs using C#/.NET or Java side logic and REST APIs using ‑side logic and REST APIs using
• Assist with integrating applications with Azure PaaS services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Service Bus
• Help implement data access layers using Azure SQL and ORM technologies (e.g., Entity Framework or Hibernate)
• Translate business and technical requirements into structured problem statements and solution approaches
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical team members and client stakeholders
• Learn and apply modern industry development practices, including DevOps workflows and AI assisted development tools.‑assisted development tools

What We’re Looking For

• Students on track to complete in 2026 of a bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Coursework or academic projects involving software development, cloud computing, or web services
• Familiarity with at least one programming language such as C#, .NET, or Java
• Exposure (academic or personal projects) to:
  • RESTful APIs or backend services
  • Cloud platforms (especially Microsoft Azure)
  • Databases such as SQL Server or Azure SQL
  • AI Development tools
• Curiosity about modern technologies including cloud, data, AI, and microservices
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments, manage ambiguity, and seek feedback
• Interest in a future full‑time career in technology consulting
