What you'll do...

Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 10500 NE 8th Street, 13th Floor, Bellevue, WA 98004

Duties: Develop, deploy, and integrate data streaming pipelines which are scalable, fault tolerant, and real time in nature. Accumulate, analyze, and onboard customers into Walmart’s ecosystem while identifying issues and better approaches and solutions. Develop and design code which enhances the system, identifies the bugs, and provides better solutions. Contribute, execute, and collaborate on action plans by providing guidance and mentoring peers in the application of data streaming system. Collaborate with product management, project management, business, and user experience teams to contribute to the discovery phase of small to medium-sized software engineering projects and create high-level designs. Resolve production glitches, unresolved issues, and software bugs by gathering information and conducting root cause analysis to minimize future problems and collaborate with support teams.    

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.

Skills required: Experience designing and programming in object-oriented frameworks including Java and Python. Experience working with scripting languages including Bash Shell, Shell, and Python. Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using Java and Scala. Experience with version control system Git, unit testing frameworks, and debugging tools. Experience using Kafka, Big Data, and Spark to work on data streaming, batch streaming, and data migration. Experience working with MySQL and JDBC databases. Experience working with client and server architecture design for Cloud systems. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $137,259/year to $216,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
