Opportunity:

We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer who moves fast, owns outcomes, and builds AI‑native product capabilities that scale at Maersk. You’ll co‑create with AI to accelerate delivery, while engineering reliable context, retrieval, and conversational experiences that work in real operational ambiguity.

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end delivery: design, build, deploy, and operate AI-native services that are scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-aware.

• Scale context engineering foundations: dynamically assemble the right information environment (context, memory, knowledge) for reliable multi-turn conversations.

• Design and optimize knowledge indexing and retrieval at enterprise scale for large, ambiguous knowledge bases.

• Drive measurable quality improvements (resolution rate, accuracy, relevance)

• Be an AI champion: eliminate toil, accelerate delivery, and create measurable productivity gains across engineering workflows.

• Raise the bar: mentor engineers, improve standards, and influence across teams with clear technical judgement and collaboration

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).

• 6+ years building and shipping software, with strong product engineering plus DevOps and SRE practices.

• 2+ building AI-native products beyond “prompting”: context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation.

• 1+ experience handling large knowledge estates (ambiguous, inconsistent content) and different retrieval techniques

• Experience with LangGraph/LangChain (or similar) for orchestrating multi-step AI workflows is a strong plus.

• Works responsibly with AI systems in line with safety, transparency and explainability expectations.

• Strong coding skills in one or more languages (Java, Go, Python), and the ability to pick up new stacks quickly.

• Observability mindset and tooling experience (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana), and experience running production workloads on Kubernetes.

• Strong problem-solving skills—comfortable debugging ambiguity and delivering pragmatic fixes.
