GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The main responsibility of the Ice Crew is to produce the possible ice for our clients.  The Ice Crew will assist in all aspects of ice making and rink maintenance at the North Charleston Coliseum.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Support each ice event in a professional manner and ensure the ice is ready for each event.
• Check your work area and report any deficiencies or problems.
• Ensure that you are located in the proper job site and that you have the necessary tools to complete your assignment.
• Ensure that proper safety is used by yourself and the other Ice Crewmembers.
• You are responsible for supporting the Zamboni driver in all aspects to include the removal of any debris left when the Zamboni leaves the ice.
• Responsible for returning all tools and equipment to their proper place after each use.
• Must inspect your assigned areas for cleanliness and order after each event.
• Responsible for assisting Operations personnel in picking up after each event
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to follow direction.  Have a clean personal appearance.  Have a knowledge of ice making and maintenance.  Ability to maintain and repair hockey goal nets.  Must keep working area neat and orderly.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to access all areas of the Facilities
• Ability to perform physical labor and endure cold temperatures.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and Holidays.
