Cloud Engineering Lead

What does a successful Cloud Engineering Lead do at Fiserv?

As a Cloud Engineering Lead, you will be instrumental in architecting, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and services that align with our strategic business goals. You will lead a team of cloud engineers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions tailored to the evolving demands of the financial services industry.

What You Will Do:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Define and implement cloud architecture strategies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure cloud solutions align with enterprise objectives.
• Provide technical leadership in cloud engineering, including infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and automation.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption strategies to enhance performance and cost-efficiency.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of cloud architecture documentation, blueprints, and operational runbooks.
• Mentor and guide cloud engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements in cloud environments.

What You Will Need To Have:

• 6+ years of experience in cloud engineering, architecture, or infrastructure roles.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing microservices and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

What would be great to have:

• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, or ISO 27001.
