The Center for Child Protection (CCP) at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital seeks a BE/BC Child Abuse physician to join our Grand Rapids location. The practice has a longstanding history of excellence in the community putting patients’ safety and satisfaction at the forefront. The team’s vision is to establish a standard of care for victims of child abuse and neglect that protects the health, safety, and welfare of all children.

 

Our Children’s Hospital is looking for a CAP Physician to provide services including medical evaluations, medical testimony, coordination of services among providers and agencies, making referrals to the right resources, as well as case reviews and second opinions. Patient care will be done in a multitude of environments including the outpatient clinic, inpatient evaluations and within Child Assessment Centers 1-2x/mth located in Allegan and Ottawa counties.

 

Our team is composed of 2.4 Physicians, and highly skilled supportive team members with knowledgeable multi-disciplinary approach assisting in day-to-day operations and take advantage the resources and referral base of the larger Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital system. The Child Protection Team includes 70 subspecialty programs available to provide support/consultation when needed.

Qualifications:

  • BE/BC Child Abuse Fellowship

  • License - Michigan MD/DO

  • Certification – BLS (Basic Life Support)

 

Compensation Package:
Malpractice insurance, health, dental, disability and life insurance. Paid time off for vacation, illness, CME and relocation allowance. Salary is guaranteed and negotiable based on experience, annual Bonus up to 5% of base salary.
