Raytheon is seeking a Senior Level Service Engineer to support the F-18 ALR-67(V)3 Performance Based Logistics (PBL) program, based out of Jacksonville, FL. The Service Engineer shall perform a variety of technical and business tasks in support of the ALR-67(V)3 Site Lead in functions for both operations and engineering materials. This engineer shall advise our customers and end users on the operation, maintenance, inspection, and repairs of the ALR-67 systems. This engineer shall also be responsible for analyzing equipment failures to determine root cause and recommend corrective action. This position is based out of Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) at the Naval Air Station (NAS) in Jacksonville, FL and our business partner AAR at 8001 Westside Industrial drive Jacksonville FL. May require some travel on a limited basis.

What You Will Do

  • Provide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) expert level support on the ALR-67 system.
  • Provide ALR-67 training to artisans as needed.
  • Perform continuous trend analysis to capture software/hardware faults.
    Work to improve ALR-67 troubleshooting techniques.
  • Support the ALR-67(V)3 PBL FRCSE Site Lead in internal FRCSE material movement, technical failure information input, and material tracking.
  • Work closely with the ALR-67(V)3 PBL Site Lead to provide material from off base warehouse in support of timely repairs.
  • Inventory management of ALR-67(V)3 material located at the FRCSE located at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL.
  • Collaborate with government agencies and other contractors to maintain good communication in support of ALR-67 system.
  • Provide recommendations on how to improve repair efforts and maximize productivity and cost savings.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • At least four (4) years of related maintenance, technical support, and/or repair experience of ALR-67(V)3 WRAs and SRAs
  • Experience analyzing faults and oversee the troubleshooting and maintenance of the Production Benches.
  • Experience testing, analyzing, and troubleshooting software and hardware, developing testing criteria, and evaluating complex electrical, electronic and mechanical systems, subsystems, modules, components, test stations, test fixtures and test software.
  • Experience providing engineering and technical support services for repair of systems.
  • Experience working in a classified lab setting and adhering to lab security policies and procedures.

Qualifications We Prefer

  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess the test equipment expertise that is essential to effectively operate the ALR-67 Test bench; also known as “UNIT-STE” for the testing and troubleshooting of SRAs.
  • The ability to provide training related to the ALR-67 systems to FRCSE personnel.
  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to perform with limited supervision.
    Understand Military (preferably Navy) customs and courtesies.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
