EMBEDDED SYSTEM ENGINEER FOR BASE SYSTEMS (F/M/D)

In this role, you are part of the Base Systems Engineering team of TAS Platform. This platform is a safety critical real-time hardware and software platform for the railway domain, certified for the highest safety integrity level. It comprises the operating system, security services, a safe middleware that provides fault tolerance and safe communication, as well as the associated hardware components.

The Base Systems Engineering team focuses on the configuration and integration of Hardware and Open Source Linux environment on embedded hardware and industrial servers including virtualization as well as development activities around hardware development, board support drivers and security hardening activities. YOUR CHALLENGE

• Contribute architectural and design workshops on CPU modules or boards as well as base systems

• Develop specifications based on technical and safety requirements as well as CENELEC standards

• Review and shape concept and design papers, test specification and reports

• Assist in analyzing schematics and debug sessions on hardware/software integration

• Contribute in designing module or board support and drivers on Linux kernels

• Work on security related topics including risk analysis and CVE monitoring

• Work on customer support related to our hardware products

• Work in distributed teams

• Work in an agile team with standardized processes (quality, safety, security)

YOUR PROFILE

• A completed education (HTL, FH, University) in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or similar

• Interest or experiences in hardware design related to CPU circuits for embedded system including components such as RAM, FLASH, Ethernet

• Interests on embedded Linux and real-time systems in mission critical environments

• Interest to work according standards and processes in an agile team

• Interest on security topics on system, hardware and software level

• Good communication skills for technical collaboration with external partners

• Analytical thinking and solving complex problems are your strengths

• Know how in real-time and embedded systems as well as security topics

• Fluency in English, German skills are highly beneficial

WE OFFER

• The salary for this position starts at € 50.000 gross p.a. Actual compensation is based on experience and qualification
