The Boeing AvionX organization is currently seeking a Chief of Staff-Project Manager to support our Quality, Manufacturing & Production Engineering Team located in St Louis, MO. This position will focus on supporting programs across BDS, BCA & BGS business within the AvionX organization.

Boeing AvionX develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions. We have set our sights high – to design, develop, and manufacture the most technically advanced and reliable avionic systems in the world. We are innovating and developing new products that address the future of the urban air mobility as well as our next generation of commercial, tactical, and trainer aircraft markets, and other strategic growth areas.

Who You Are

You are an experienced Project Management professional with a strong background leading teams to success in complex & dynamic work environments.  You are a strong leader, able to work cross functionally & vertically throughout organizations.  You have strong project management and leadership experience to plan and manage broad scopes of work, develop & implement strategies and ensure delivery surpasses expectations.  You have demonstrated leadership and a strong track record in all aspects of Program Management and experience working with program managers, engineers, production, development teams and others. You are experienced in planning & tracking progress, developing metrics & systems to monitor performance.  You have experience in Lean and BPSM.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads development and execution of the organization operating rhythms (including leadership meetings and execution reviews) that are needed to drive performance and accountability through the organization

  • Leads special project-based assignments and ensures coordination / implementation / execution are successful on behalf of leadership

  • Assists and supports development of team priorities and drives / monitors team progress towards delivering priorities.

  • Tracks and drives actions in the Quality, Manufacturing & Production Engineering Team. 

  • Partners with Finance on LRBP and other financial reviews

  • Manages AvionX Capital Planning Process

  • Shapes major meeting agendas and creates content for executive & team meetings, off sites and other meeting forums.

  • Develops, tracks and drives organizational measures of effectiveness.

  • Maintains the pulse internally and externally on prevailing issues.

  • Develops recommendations for the leader on engagement strategies and opportunities.

  • Leads the development of messaging content for executive visits and briefings in conjunction with the leader

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, business administration, computer science or engineering or equivalent

  • 3+ years of experience working with Senior Leaders/Executives to establish strategic plans and objectives

  • 3+ years of experience leading business operations for a large scale program or business

  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions or initiatives

  • Experience leading and managing a team

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience on program or product development programs

  • 5+ years of experience in business operations or chief of staff role

  • Experience developing executive level presentations

  • Project Management experience

  • Experience using AI and advanced tools to automate workflows & metric reporting

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience working with a high level of discretion in handling confidential information

  • Experience analyzing and summarizing data for executive consumption, multitask effectively, and use sound judgment to execute

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range for Senior Level (Level 4): $118,150 - $159,850
