Overview

We are seeking a Product Manager with solid exposure to the financial industry, particularly in payments. The role focuses on the development and enhancement of the payment pre-processing platform, ensuring accurate preparation, validation, and enrichment of payment data before routing to downstream systems. Knowledge of SWIFT standards and platform is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for payment pre-processing capabilities.
  • Conduct business analysis, gather requirements, and translate user and stakeholder needs into clear product specifications and user stories.
  • Ensure the validation, transformation, and enrichment of payment data meets operational, compliance, and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to prioritize features and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, to align priorities and ensure transparent communication.
  • Support pricing strategy, product positioning, and commercial evaluations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to identify new opportunities.
  • Serve as Product Owner within Agile squads, managing backlog priorities and sprint planning.
  • Review and prepare documentation, business cases, and go-to-market materials.
  • Foster a client-centric mindset, ensuring each product decision maximizes customer value and usability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner, preferably in financial services.
  • Experience in payments, payment processing, or payment data workflows.
  • Strong understanding of payment data models, validations, and pre-processing logic.
  • Solid experience working within Agile frameworks.
  • Strong business analysis, problem-solving, and requirements-definition capabilities.
  • Good understanding of pricing, product economics, and value articulation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities, including interactions with senior leadership.
  • High level of English.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design innovative solutions.

Preferred / Optional Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SWIFT standards and connectivity models.
  • Experience in API products, back-office and/or front-end payment systems, or payment orchestration platforms.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in payment processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, develop and/or validate improved/new product/ market concepts and/or business solutions based upon customer needs.
  • Define and develop a mid to long term marketing plan to inform internal/external parties about strategic product/market development.
  • Ensure and/or produce detailed product definitions and associated business cases for new and renewed products, within the framework of the overall business strategy. Coordinate the approval for business cases, provide IT with customer/product requirements and act as an interface between product development and commercial divisions.
  • Initiate, drive and control product launch projects to ensure timely delivery of agreed specifications. Manage all aspects of the marketing plan (product/pricing offer, promotion, training of commercial teams and customers and the development of user documentation).
  • Keep abreast with trends in the industry and share information with other divisions/departments.
  • Manage a product portfolio through their life cycle by defining yearly sales targets, continuously monitoring P&L and ensuring continually product improvements or renewals.
  • Liaise with other divisions/departments of the company, customers, vendors, regulatory bodies and industry associations and make presentations.
  • Provide advice and guidance to less senior product/market managers.
