Job Summary

The Account Manager is the main contact for communication between Nidec Motor Corporation and key customer accounts. The Account Manager's primary responsibility is to secure new business while maintaining and expanding current business with the key customer accounts. This position will cover both New York and New England area

Job Description

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Seek and secure new business opportunities with key customer accounts
  • Maintain and expand existing business with customer accounts
  • Liaison between customer demands and plant demands
  • Work with the Account Coordinators to manage sales forecasts and resolve commercial issues with key customer accounts.
  • Resolve all issues to the complete satisfaction of the customer
  • Create a database of customer knowledge th

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Strong negotiation skills. 
  • Basic knowledge of all business disciplines.
  • Strong math aptitude
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field, works under general supervision, and will use their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and customer focused. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and accountable for actions.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and resources, being an analytical thinker/ problem solver, highly organized as well as being accountable are desirable.
