 About This Role

Join our innovative team at Circles Japan where we are committed to transforming the digital telco landscape. We are currently seeking a skilled UI and Graphic Designer to play a key role in enhancing our platform.

In this position, you will shape the user interface of new product features as well as creating captivating visual designs, contributing significantly to the successful adoption of new features, and boosting overall user satisfaction.

The role will be part of the Product Management team and will be based in Tokyo. This role will require working onsite in the office at least 4 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Visual Design Creation:
    • Designing graphics, icons, and visual elements for web and mobile applications.
    • Creating marketing materials, banners, and promotional assets.
  • Designing User Interfaces:
    • Collaborating with product managers, UX designer and engineers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
    • Developing wireframes and mockups for new features and enhancements.
  • Ensuring Brand Consistency:
    • Ensuring consistent branding across all digital touchpoints.
    • Adhering to brand guidelines and maintaining a cohesive visual identity.
  • Feedback and Iteration:
    • Incorporating feedback from stakeholders and users into design revisions.
    • Iterating on designs based on usability testing and user feedback.
  • Principles:
    • Ensure all UI designs are responsive and adapt seamlessly to various devices and screen sizes.
    • Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and effective implementation of design principles.
    • Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in UI and graphic design, integrating innovative strategies into our platform.
    • Champion user-centered design principles within the team, advocating for an optimal user experience.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Must be fluent in Japanese and English (written and verbal)
  • Proven experience in the Japan Market as a UI or Graphic Designer with at least 5 years of experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD is compulsory.
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
  • Experience in creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for web and mobile applications.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript basics is a plus.
  • Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
  • Understanding of responsive design and best practices for mobile and web design.
  • Familiarity with brand identity design and guidelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
  • Comfortable thriving in a dynamic and unpredictable work environment, where rapid prototyping and quick decision-making are essential
