Position Summary

As the Medicare Reporting Lead Director, you will be responsible for the management reporting process along with the consolidation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for the Medicare segment.  This role will allow you to own the creation of Medicare consolidated financial materials during the forecasting & planning and monthly close processes as well as for the Medicare Advantage & Prescription Drug (MAPD) product within the Medicare segment.  This role will:  

  • Partner with Medicare Leadership and ensure all Medicare reporting helps drive results and communicates key messages effectively

  • Drive enhanced monthly close Medicare reporting materials and standardization of them across the Medicare product portfolio

  • Produce MAPD WD6 monthly close packages along with consolidating materials across the Medicare product portfolio

  • Enhance the forecast & planning materials to ensure effective communication and drive process efficiency

  • Manage the completion of Aetna forecasting, planning & analysis materials requested for senior leader review during forecast & planning cycle

  • Serve as the point of the contact for Aetna forecast & planning financial and analysis requests

  • Drive better real-time insights including deeper analytics on gross margin trends and drivers

  • Manage a small team of FTEs

Required Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of healthcare insurance experience

  • At least 3 years of financial analysis experience

  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Strong communication (verbal/written) and presentation skills

  • Sound decision making skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Proficiency in Hyperion

  • Ability to travel up to 20% (including plane)

Medicare experience

Education

Bachelor's degree required; equivalent work experience may substitute.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
