Mobile Anesthesiologists is expanding, and we have immediate openings for a Part-Time Peri Anesthesia RNs.  As the Peri Anesthesia RN, you will be responsible for the pre, intra, and post-operative patient care.  

Work hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday; no evenings, no Sundays, no overtime, no holidays are required. Some working Saturdays are available and are incentivized and negotiable. We are willing to discuss flexible scheduling options! 

Work setting: Outpatient anesthesia – in the surgeon's office space OR/room or within an ASC setting.

Work location: Our clients are based in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. You will be closely engaged with our Scheduling Coordinator during orientation, and will travel to various sites for exposure to different clients and specialties. However, post-onboarding, the Scheduling Coordinator on average, places RNs' within 45 minutes or less of their home address. Mileage reimbursement is provided after 25 miles traveled! 

The Perianesthesia RN implements quality perianesthesia nursing care, along with and under the guidance of the anesthesiologist, according to practice policies and procedures.  You will regularly participate in continuing education programs, including but not limited to mandated nursing and medical staff programs, as indicated by quality assurance monitoring, as you provide the best possible patient care to our patients.

Position Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing 
  • Holds an active and unrestrictive RN license in the state of Illinois, or possesses a compact license with eligibility to practice in Illinois 
  • A minimum of three years of experience in critical care, emergency room, or post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) nursing is required. However, if an RN has a minimum of two years of experience in emergency room (ER) or intensive care unit (ICU) settings, and a combination of experience in ER, PACU, or telemetry, they are encouraged to apply and will be considered for screening. 
  • Background and experience in providing care to both pediatric and adult patience  
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), is required, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is preferred. 
  • The ability to conduct basic physical exams and initiate intravenous catheter placement is a necessary skill set.
