A Day in the Life

This position has the responsibility and authority to work with field representatives (Account Managers and Capital Sales reps) and Sales Management to ensure all sales quotations (hardware, software and services when applicable) are accurate and comply to company guidelines.  Main areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, preparing customer quotes and related agreements, orders, funnel management, and fulfillment of other terms and conditions outlined in the sales proposals.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications

  • Creates customer sales quotes in accordance with pre-determined guidelines for pricing, discounting and terms and conditions

  • Advises sales team of other acquisition options and sales programs, such as earn outs and rentals, prepares related contracting and pricing documents and conducts contract administration to ensure fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications

  • Supports automation and system enhancements in the organization by serving on project teams as needed. Maintains customer files and complete and accurate information in various customer databases, including Salesforce.com and PROs

  • Works closely with sales team to maintain quarterly funnel in Salesforce.com

  • Works with repair department, customer services, credit services, marketing and NAV tech services

  • Reviews and confirm customer capital purchase orders and prepares them for order entry

  • Helps attach service contracts at point of sale. Converts warranties to service contracts, renews service contracts

  • Participates in periodic product planning meetings to review pending orders, product inventory, shipping timeline and installation status

  • Ensures the sales team is updated on significant customer related issues within region

  • Reviews proposed offering for financial profitability (standard margin) and exercise independent judgment and responsibility for challenging if deemed inadequate

  • Partners with the Corporate Accounts and Marketing Teams to evaluate and develop product offerings which include pricing promotions, trade in programs, etc. and ensure they can be outlined accurately in sales proposals

  • Provides other field support as necessary

  • All activities must be performed in compliance with the Quality System

  • Travel requirement: Less than 10%

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years experience in Contracts or Pricing or equivalent experience

OR

  • Associate's Degree with 2+ years experience in Contracts or Pricing or equivalent experience

OR

  • Baccalaureate Degree with 1+ year experience in Contracts or Pricing or equivalent experience

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$66,400.00 - $99,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
