SENIOR MANAGER, FORECASTING & ANALYTICS

New York, San Francisco

TL;DR

Aura’s Revenue Organization is building a world-class analytics and forecasting function to drive business agility, forecast accuracy, and growth across our retail and e-commerce channels. As Aura’s Senior Manager of Forecasting & Analytics, you will use deep statistical  analysis of historical and real time sell-through data and trends  to shape the  demand forecasts and integrated planning processes that ensure the right products reach the right markets at the right time. You will work at the intersection of data analytics, business intelligence, consumer trends,  marketing efforts,  supply chain, and cross-functional collaboration to create a forecasting framework and revenue analytics function that supports Aura’s growth trajectory across North America, Europe, and expanding international markets.

Our story -

Aura was founded by two early Twitter software engineers who wanted to take what they knew about social connections and create a way for families to come together around their best memories. The combination of seamless sharing across a smartphone app and a beautiful digital frame resonated, and Aura is now used by millions of families with more than 1 billion photos shared in 2025 alone. What is known as the best digital picture frame by Wirecutter has always been about something more ambitious: a private, trusted platform for connection with your close loved ones. Aura is now available in thousands of leading retail stores across North America and Europe.

Role Description

Reporting directly to the CRO, you’ll leverage statistical  analysis, SQL-based business intelligence tools, and forecasting analytics  to drive forecast accuracy improvements, lead the demand planning  cycle, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. If you’re passionate about demand planning, analytics, and driving meaningful business impact in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, this is your opportunity to make a significant contribution to Aura’s continued success.

What You'll Do

Forecasting & Accuracy

  •   Own the creation and continuous management of rolling revenue  forecasts at the SKU/channel/geography level for Aura's product portfolio across all sales  channels by utilizing SQL-based data and BI tools and statistical analytics
  •     Re-forecast on a weekly cadence (and daily during peak, promotional, and product launch windows) based on POS, sell-through, cross-channel  marketing performance data  and metrics, and inventory positions
  •     Lead Aura's demand planning operations, facilitating and leading  regular cross-functional planning meetings that align Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Finance on a unified demand and supply plan
  •     Review and validate sales forecasts in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams, ensuring alignment with product launches, promotional calendars, and market trends
  •     Track forecast accuracy metrics (MAPE, bias, WAPE) at the SKU/channel/week grain, set internal accuracy targets, and continuously refine forecasting methodologies to improve performance
  •     Utilize statistical forecasting techniques to generate baseline forecasts and identify opportunities for model enhancement
  •     Champion process improvements and automation to drive efficiency in demand planning workflows
  •     Prepare executive-ready presentations explaining demand forecasts, variances, and recommendations and  provide regular demand planning updates to the CRO and Revenue Leadership team
  •     Proactively identify SKU/channel stockout and overstock risks using weeks-of-supply analysis, and recommend corrective actions before they affect availability or working capital

What You Bring

Required

  •     Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related field
  •     7+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, S&OP, or business analytics in consumer electronics, consumer goods

  •   International/multi-market demand planning experience
  •     Expert-level proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (advanced functions, pivot tables, data modeling, large dataset manipulation)
  •     Working proficiency in SQL — comfortable querying source systems and BI tools (Metabase, Looker, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar) without depending on an analyst
  •     Experience working with large datasets and translating data insights into actionable business recommendations
  •     Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence without direct authority, including presenting to executive leadership
  •     Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to balance data-driven insights with business judgment
  •     Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex analyses clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  •     Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset
  •     Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities
