The Information Management Solution Lead will assist to define and oversee the cloud data strategy and design the information management solution architecture for a Defence program. This role ensures that all solution components—data fabric, analytics, governance, and master data management—operate cohesively within a highly secure, air-gapped environment to meet Defence compliance and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Strategy & Architecture
    • Assist in the development of the Cloud Data Strategy for air-gapped deployments, aligning with Commonwealth security and sovereignty requirements.
    • Design the Information Management Solution architecture, including data fabric, governance, analytics, and integration components.
  • Solution Design & Integration
    • Define how solution components (e.g., MDM, analytics tooling, data pipelines) will interoperate within the air-gapped ecosystem.
    • Ensure interoperability across federated environments using zero-trust principles.
    • Facilitate the transition of solutions during mobilization and stabilization phases.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Establish data governance frameworks, metadata standards, and compliance controls for classified environments.
    • Implement secure-by-design practices and validate adherence to Defence security standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Act as the primary liaison between technical teams, business sponsors, and Defence stakeholders.
    • Facilitate workshops to capture requirements and translate them into actionable designs.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer : Produce detailed design documentation, operational models, and governance playbooks for audit and sustainment.

ESSENTIAL

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant related skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Deep understanding of Google Distributed Cloud (air-gapped) architecture and sovereign cloud principles.
    • Experience in data strategy, information architecture, and data fabric design.
    • Familiarity with Informatica MDM, analytics platforms, and integration tooling.
  • Security & Compliance
    • Knowledge of zero-trust architecture, RBAC/ABAC, and Defence-grade security frameworks.
  • Leadership & Communication
    • Strong stakeholder management and ability to lead cross-functional teams in complex, regulated environments.
    • Excellent documentation and presentation skills for executive and technical audiences.

DESIRABLE

  • Advanced proficiency in Cloud Computing.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Agile Methodologies.
  • Expert proficiency in Data Modeling.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Business Process Improvement.
  • Master proficiency in Stakeholder Engagement.

Additional Requirements:

Security Clearance Requirement: Given the secure nature of this role, we are seeking candidates who are Australian Citizens with an active security clearance (NV1).

Must be willing to work onsite 5 days per week
