OVERVIEW:

Summary Description

This position works in support of the Sr. Space Planner and Director of Corporate Facilities , and interacts directly with  Administrative Assistants  and others from internal departments to ascertain their forecast space requirements and necessary adjacencies. The position develops and maintains all office and cubical floor plans that effectively meet those requirements, as well as represents current, planned  and potential use of space and furniture. The position assists with Project Management of a variety of office and cubicle reconfigurations, and supports the Sr. Space Planner in budget tracking, as well as exploration of alternative furniture and finish concepts.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Team with Sr Space Planner to manage, develop and forecast near term and long term space requirements within each department of the Customer Support Center, and potentially other office spaces that may be occupied by Dick’s associates. Assist in determining what assets (office space, infrastructure, furniture) are required to meet that demand, and in presenting recommendations, floor plans and proposed budgets to the Director of Corp. Facilities, VP of Facilities and Construction, the SVP of Store Environment and the relevant departments as to available options to meet those demands.

Assist in the review  of approved construction projects with outside contractors and key internal partners (I.T.S., Engineering, Facilities), award bids, establish schedules.  Coordinate relocation plans and schedules with department AA's to correspond with the timeline of the project.

Coordinate with internal Engineering and Maintenance associates as necessary to clarify scope of work, and review questions and requests related to furniture configuration.

Track and manage the work space and furniture assets of the SSC and update floor plans on a regular basis. Review furniture needs for potential replenishment or upgrades to existing standards. Assist in the review , bid and ordering of furniture stock.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design

  • 1-3 years of experience

  • Mastery of AutoCAD and REVIT

  • Excellent written & Verbal Communication Skills
