The senior pre-sales consultant primary responsibility will be to support all Treasury Management sales opportunities in Japan. An in-depth knowledge and understanding of Treasury practices is key, some of the required elements include financial transaction workings, back office/settlement processes, accounting definitions and principles, risk management and compliance practices. In addition to having good domain knowledge of the Treasury market in Japan, the candidate should also have local knowledge of, business practices, key players, industry influencers, and from a competitive view – key differentiators between solution providers. They will be expected to demonstrate good communication skills, excellent presentation capability and strong sales awareness.
The candidate will have a high-profile role within the group and will play a key role in expanding the Treasury business in Japan. Exposure to the region will provide the candidate with market and client knowledge that will be of great value within FIS for cross functional rotation and growth. The candidate will also gain good experience across multiple complimentary solutions when positioning our Solutions and hone their ability to position the FIS ‘Treasury Ecosystems’.
What you will be doing:
Leading the sales support process (responses to RFP, demonstrations, workshops and supporting sales strategies)
Providing product knowledge and expertise to support a local sales force.
Assist product management in setting strategic direction to the product set, adapting and positioning it to local requirements
Work with marketing to ensure relevant and up-to-date local sales collateral
Understand and document processes and solutions based on customer requirements
What you bring:
Essential:
Substantial experience in the treasury department of a major corporate, and/or in a Treasury solutions pre-sales role
In depth of knowledge of Treasury and Cash management including:
Financial transactions life cycle, pricing/valuation
Back Office/Settlements & Accounting Experience
Cash management and risk management
Bilingual both written and spoken in Japanese & English
Excellent presentation skills
An effective communicator at every level from Treasurer to back-office
Ability to convey a unique value proposition and product differentiation to a customer.
Ability to build trust and confidence during a sales process through credibility in terms of experience and product knowledge.
Desirable;
Understanding of Treasury Management solutions/previous exposure to other systems
Knowledge of competitive Treasury solutions and market practices
