Job Description Summary

Position Responsibilities:

  • Train and develop new Equipment Rental Specialists
  • Provide coverage for absences throughout the District (travel required)
  • Work with Branch Managers to develop and maintain rental operation standards
  • In collaboration with the Branch Managers, ensure the Branch is in compliance with company policies and procedures and service levels are held above standards among the Equipment Rental Specialists.
  • Provide feedback on performance and efficiency of the Equipment Rental Specialists in regard to operation standards and service levels.
  • Provide team motivation and development to maximize performance and productivity
  • Coach Equipment Rental Specialists to work together and creates a game plan along with the Manager for employees to follow.
  • Maximize operational efficiencies for the Equipment Rentals Specialist with Branch Manager
  • In collaboration with the District Manager, recommend new processes where needed, to improve quality and cost
  • Coach Equipment Rental Specialist how to properly manage customer complaints in a professional manner in order to resolve the complaint to the satisfaction of the customer and Sunbelt Rentals
  • In collaboration with the Branch Manager, participate in the planning of and development of inside sales goals and metrics
  • Consistently meet or exceed daily objectives as it relates to inside sales and customer service
  • Supports sales and marketing efforts by performing prospecting calls, forwarding sales leads and incoming inquiries to the sales group, and acting as a liaison for marketing in respect to product promotions and frequent renter programs
  • Reviews daily management reports and provides regular feedback to Branch Managers as it relates to the Equipment Rental Specialist service standards and levels
  • Participate in weekly Branch meetings
  • Provide support to improve branch service quality results, as needed
  • Accurately coordinate deliveries with Branch Dispatcher, as needed
  • Assist AR with collections efforts (i.e. Issue credits, obtain Job info etc.), as needed
  • Assist with Safety procedures and metrics, as it relates to the Equipment Rental Specialists
  • Participates in After Hours and Emergency Response efforts including local and district
  • May be responsible for other tasks, including stocking and maintaining store showroom merchandise, ordering and receiving equipment, loading and unloading equipment, dispatching, timekeeping, and/or performing basic maintenance to equipment
  • Communicates clearly and concisely with customers, colleagues, shop, drivers, yard and other Sunbelt locations
  • Other duties as assigned
     

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of customer service, equipment rental or related experience
  • Good working understanding of construction market, job phases, needs and product line.
  • Continuously updates knowledge of the industry.
  • Has good basic understanding of general business management principles and practices.
  • Commits to business goals for the site, and generates commitment to goals.
  • Works to build professional image and credibility with employees and other internal contacts.
  • Basic understanding of company’s systems, processes and controls (including asset control systems), and the interrelationship of various internal systems.
  • Keeps/prepares clear and accurate records.
  • Works effectively under short deadlines.
  • Good basic skills in negotiating schedules, deliverables and charges with customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated success developing relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator with strong presentation skills
  • Strong business and technical acumen, good analytical skills
  • Good project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office, spreadsheets and database applications.

Base Pay Range

25.19 - 29.91
