The Sr. Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Manager – Asia Operations will be responsible for leading ADI’s EHS programs for our factory operations in Asia. It will require developing and enforcing a workplace culture of health and safety throughout our Asia facilities, implementing EHS programs and policies, ensuring compliance with EHS regulations, monitoring regulatory developments, and assessing and auditing site programs. This position is based in Cavite, Philippines and will report to ADI’s Sr. Director of Global EHS.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Implementing corporate EHS standards to drive first-in-class safety and environmental performance and ensure efficiency in our operations.
• Participating in and managing closure of audits to ensure site compliance to EHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensuring employees are trained on health and safety policies and best practices.
• Championing cross-site projects to reduce injuries and improve safety culture.
• Implementing new health and safety protocols and measures to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Assisting in the development of risk assessments, incident reporting, and EHS standards.
• Driving improvement for chemical approval, regulatory review, incident notification & reporting, equipment evaluation & review, and contractor management.
• Participating in sustainability initiatives and improving performance in GHG reduction, energy and water consumption, and landfill reduction.
• Facilitating benchmarking and best practice sharing.
• Coordinating management updates and reviews
• Leading regional EHS staff meetings to review incidents, priorities, and program opportunities.
• Supporting COVID-19 response and protocols.
• Providing remote EHS support for some of ADI’s satellite locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
• BS Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Engineering, Science, or related technical field
• At least 10 years of Environmental, Health and Safety experience
• Working knowledge of regional EHS regulations as well as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead projects across the organization and influence peers
• Attention to detail and demonstration of analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently under minimal supervision
• Experience in engaging with 3rd parties, e.g., regulatory agencies, industry consortia, standards bodies
• Understanding of developing & using metrics to analyze data to allow better data driven decision making
• Ability to travel (20%)
Desired Qualifications:
• MS Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Engineering, Science, or related technical field
• Semiconductor or electronics industry experience
• Strong background in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, and/or sustainability, but with some exposure or familiarity to all aspects.
• Knowledge of the Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct
• Chemical management experience; knowledge of RoHS, REACH, GHS, and TSCA.
