We are part of the Sabre Accounting Team. At Collections, we work as a team with our stakeholders to achieve recovery goals, encouraging collaboration, teamwork, and pursuing results. Cross-functionality is very important to our team, so you can learn about different markets and business units (hotels, airlines, agencies, and airports), which increases your commercial knowledge, makes your work much more interesting and varied as it expands your career.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Collections Specialist, you would work from financial data to manage the status of open accounts receivable, based on an analysis of the account balance data, performing reconciliations, detecting problems in the application of payments or open payments pending to be applied and determine the collection actions to be taken. (Such as email contacts, calls, drafting payment plans, debt recovery negotiation, cancellation requests, and building business cases for leadership decision making). You will be able to interact with the Billing team, Cash Applications, Sales teams among others, as internal clients, since with all of them the collections have interdependencies and synergies to work with, which helps you develop a good network within our organization.

Collector Specialist who achieves their goals by showing excellent customer service, native or high level at spoken foreign language, trained negotiation skills and innate candidness to directly interact with customers through the phone.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Advanced English language (oral and written) is required. Portuguese and/or additional languages would be considered a plus.

  • Accounting skills and background, accounts collections experience and/or customer service experience will be considered a plus.

  • Excel skills intermediate level or above are required.

  • Effective communication skills, willingness, and ability to reach out to customers by phone and email to negotiate payment, while maintaining excellent customer service manners and building bond of confidence with customers.

  • SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft systems knowledge will be considered a plus.

  • Be able to handle an important workload effectively and meet deadlines.

  • Organizational skills and prioritization are key to the role of a Collection specialist.

  • Attention to detail and ability to keep a dynamic pace of work.

  • Excellent follow up and research skills.

  • Self-motivation, engagement and drive for results are a must.

  • Willingness to work in a high-performance team environment, contribute to building a winning culture and achieving outstanding results.
