ADS Environmental Services provides products and services that have helped thousands of communities and municipalities diagnose and correct water and wastewater infrastructure problems to increase efficiency and mitigate environmental compliance action. We perform capacity studies, diagnostic services, Stormwater monitoring, Sewer System Evaluation Studies (SSES), permanent and temporary flow monitoring, and high-accuracy flow monitoring technologies to help our clients effectively manage their infrastructure assets and provide a significant return on investment.

Overall Purpose

A Regional Sales Manager will manage regional sales staff and processes, identify, and develop new target key account customers as well as maintain existing key accounts as identified in the annual ADS Sales Commission Plan.  The Regional Sales Manager will oversee all sales activities within the South Region.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage sales activities in a specific sales region for all accounts, which may include sales staff management, generating leads, generating sales proposals, negotiating, and procuring sales contracts, delivering signed contracts to operations.
  • Develop a sales team including talent recruiting, interview and hiring, managing to high standards of excellence, CRM management and ensure appropriate training is performed.
  • Responsible for key account development within a region and developing strategies to meet an individual client needs.
  • Join and participate in local industry associations.
  • Conceptual sales and closing accounts with key account Municipal Water & Wastewater customers and consulting engineering customers.
  • Meet and/or exceed individual and Region Orders and Revenue threshold.
  • Ensure there is timely follow-up on leads generated through both corporate and regional efforts for key accounts.
  • Daily and weekly reporting of key account prospecting activities, schedules, opportunity management and contract status.
  • Abide by on-the-job site safety requirements.
  • Attend and participate in both regional and national conferences and sales seminars, including giving technical presentations.
  • Initiate Project kick-off meetings prior to project start-up for key accounts.
  • Work closely with Operations to determine specific project requirements and assist in contract interpretation and client interface for key accounts.
  • Complete Special Projects as requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • B.S. Civil Engineering or equivalent technical degree preferred. Demonstrated ability to promote concepts and ideas to create customer demand Proven ability to identify and acquire new key accounts with success Proven persuasion, leadership, initiative, and communication skills Excellent written and oral communication skills required with exceptional listening skills.  Ability to build relationships and work well across functions with a strong focus on customer satisfaction 10 plus years of Wastewater experience preferred with sales exposure to Municipalities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines with a strong attention to detail.
  • Prior experience with sales and sales management tracking databases.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $94,600.00 - $141,800.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
