What is the opportunity?

As Manager, Specialized Programs, you have a unique opportunity to step into an important role within the Home Equity Financing team. This position offers the chance to become a key subject matter expert for some of Home Equity Financing’s most dynamic mortgage programs. You will drive thoughtful analysis and insights to identify or monitor risks and key metrics across our mortgage portfolio. You will support business strategies and initiatives through analysis of policy and process impact, standardization, including collaboration with stakeholders across Enterprise like Group Risk Management, Compliance Law Group, Marketing, Enablement, Sales Units and others.

This position offers the chance to launch and execute forward key mortgage policies, processes and initiatives by leveraging our relentless commitment to clients to offer best in class experience as well as our dominant market position in mortgage financing. The role demands native curiosity and a passion for bridging policy with business execution.  The mandate will allow for ability to execute initiatives related to complex mortgage programs, offering significant potential for impact and professional growth.

What will you do?

  • Execute strategy related to specialized mortgage programs like Builder, Construction, Purchase Plus Improvements, Alternative Mortgage Solutions, Risk Based Pricing and others.

  • Implement and monitor strategic approaches to ensure evolution of Programs is distributed, understood and executed by participating channels like Mortgage Specialists.

  • Evolve existing and new external partnerships (e.g., real estate developers, default insurers, AMS third parties) within existing risk appetite, policies and regulatory framework. Support evolution of the business with use case proposals, presentations and drive to execution.

  • Regular monitoring of risk metrics associated with Specialized Programs.

  • Continuously review policies and processes governing Specialized Programs to ensure limited operational risk exposures as well as participating Sales channels are well supported.

  • Handle escalations as needed.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Expertise in program management, including monitoring metrics and resolving escalations, demonstrating Ownership through accountability and high standards.

  • Passion for leveraging housing insights to influence strategy and evolve profile of Specialized Programs.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Excellent presentation skills to articulate complex ideas into clear to influence stakeholders and management.

  • Adaptability and a proactive approach to learning and process improvement.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with mortgage originations, regulatory frameworks, policies and processes governing Specialized Programs (like B-20, default insured regulations).

  • Experience with initiatives related to housing, new construction, sustainability or climate strategy.

  • Proficiency in agile methodologies or project management frameworks, supporting Own It through adaptability and continuous learning.

  • Experience updating policies, processes, collateral materials and communicating changes to Sales Units.
