Responsibility Level:-

  • Under general direction of the HEOM, oversees the local market equipment operations for the assigned

  • agent partners. Responsible for driving timely releases, revenue forecasting, billings, collections, and

  • assisting Area Management in reporting. As needed, reviews equipment selection, cost estimating, and

  • engineered submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements. Ensures work performed is in

  • compliance with state, local, federal, and legal requirements and operates with the highest of ethics.

  • Adheres to all JCI safety standards. Develops and builds relationship with agent partners in assigned

  • markets. Teams with local market service managers to ensure timely coordination and support for startups

  • and warranty.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

1. Oversee the overall operational performance of assigned agent partners.

2. Goals and objectives are aligned with Area and HQ from a priority including post-sales metrics, backlog growth, EBIT, cash flow, reducing equipment/project slippage, SG&A, and productivity improvements.

3. Follows up on customer satisfaction issues and drives resolution. Provides leadership by demonstrating focus on achieving customer satisfaction.

4. Develops and builds relationships with agents and, as needed, contractors, customers, consultants, and vendors.

5. Identifies training/development needs of assigned agents and works with leadership to address any gaps/needs that may exist.

6. Ensures projects are properly turned over to the local service team per the defined process and assists agent as needed with LSS/PM coordination on joint projects.

7. Acts as the first level of escalation for any issues related to; equipment orders, order commitments, delivery, final payment, and customer satisfaction.

8. Acts as the subject matter expert on equipment to assist in the interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications. Identifies gaps in the technical expertise of the agent in specification interpretation and works with FHE leadership to implement short term plans to address these gaps.

9. Acts as liaison between the factory and agent team. Drives the escalation process for the agents.

10. Effectively communicates process problems, warranty trends, systemic delivery issues to the appropriate corporate leadership. Participates in review sessions and feedback groups as needed.

11. Monitors the Equipment Slippage (ES) for all projects within the assigned markets, analyzes root cause and teams with all appropriate people to implement corrective action.

12. Works with agent to ensure proper teaming with service as it pertains to Startup and Warranty processes.

13. Provides technical support, selection support and limited estimating support to agents during project design or proposal phase.

14. Participate in pre-bid and pre-book reviews per defined threshold matrix.

15. Drives asset management including credit and legal holds, cost control, billings, collections, and payables.

16. Manages backlog release date coordination with factories, managing all CRSDs, manages local market escalations for post-sale lead time improvements.

17. Works with agents to ensure proper coordination of post shipment services that include but are not limited to, start-up initiation and solutions to delivery, shipping or scope omission problems, teaming with service.

18. Works with agents to ensure the BSNA estimating, and engineering tools are utilized effectively.

19. Works with agents to ensure accuracy in scheduling of installation projects and equipment backlog, including scheduling of want dates and delivery dates.

20. Acts as coach to agents on the management of project risks, conflict resolution and establishment of project recovery plans.

21. Promotes the securing of change orders.

22. Works with agents to ensure compliance with the Safety Program for employees and subcontractors.

23. Works with agents to ensure compliance with state, local and Federal legal requirements and ensures that installation business is conducted with the highest ethical standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of seven or more years of progressively more responsible operations management experience in the Building Construction Industry including five or more years of direct project management experience. Demonstrated ability to manage a team successfully. Possesses a high-level competence in written and verbal communication. Able to travel based upon geographical locations of assigned teams.

Computer skills experience to include: Microsoft Office suite, (with emphasis on Word, Excel, and Visio) Adobe Writer, and basic Windows operating system environment. AutoCAD experience is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good organizational skills with attention to detail. Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers. Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage a large and diverse number of projects with professionalism, cooperation, and persistence.
