Job Description Summary

The Systems Integration team is focused on the integration activities within System Simulation disciplines and with the Segment and Subsystem Engineering teams. The technical coordination activities range from wind turbine systems modeling, performance, loads analysis, control tuning and acoustics for New Products, Cost-out and Fleet support, as well as turbine sitting and wind farm optimization. The team supports the whole project lifecycle by ensuring the best LCOE product design and turbine sitting strategy, from business case identification up to certification and site suitability assessment.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Execute the technical coordination between the System Simulation teams throughout the entire product lifecycle
  • Act as the primary focal point for other engineering teams into the System Simulation team
  • Translate product requirements from a Systems Design Memo into System Simulation scope for new product development activities
  • Support product validation strategies that are common to multiple System Simulation teams
  • Supports defining product and project lifecycle strategy for the System Simulation teams
  • Coordinate interfaces with component teams including model inputs collection
  • Work closely with design teams and other functions to understand optimization requirements; develop the optimization strategy and boundaries for each product, with support from senior peers
  • Support a clear configuration strategy, communication plan, and hand-off (Systems-SVO-MLA-Performance)
  • Maintain broad awareness of projects within System Simulation to assure technical excellence, timely completion of deliverables, appropriate use of resources, and responsiveness to customer needs
  • Manage simulation configurations in the Configurator including configuration maintenance and field lessons learned
  • Supports strategic initiatives across the System Simulation team as a part of product development, RTS, and RCA activities

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant wind turbine engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Engineering discipline.

  • Broad understanding of overall project lifecycle between NPI and Applications teams.

  • Demonstrated systems thinker: ability to identify tradeoffs needed and associated risk, and proposed optimization solutions · Wind turbine product development and product strategy experience. · Wind turbine system design experience.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including ability to work across cultural boundaries in a global team.

  • Strong issue resolution skills and conflict management.

  • Strong customer focus and basic understanding of customer business outcomes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $98,400.00 and $164,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
