We are lauching a new Distribution Center the beginning of Feb 2025.

We will begin hiring prior to that timeframe. We will need an Inventory Control Supervisor

Shift: Monday - Friday Day Shift

Job Summary

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for all Inventory Control activities for assigned distribution center and provides daily direction to the Inventory Control team to ensure consistent processes. This position ensures that the published company Inventory Control policies and procedures are implemented in a standard manner and that all Inventory Control teammates have been trained on the policies and the specific execution of related procedures.

Core Responsibilities
 

  • Provides oversight, direction and accountability to all Inventory Control processes and ensures team adherence to company policy and procedure.

  • Supervises the distribution center inventory control team to improve individual and overall team performance.

  • Provides performance coaching, feedback, and counseling. Collaborates with Inventory Control Process Leader to develop procedural recommendations intended to improve the overall accuracy, safeguarding, and efficient handling of all managed inventory.

  • Develops programs to maintain tight security specific to managed inventory and works with local distribution center management to ensure that only authorized personnel have access to product and records.

  • Ensures adequate supervision and separation of duties to protect against issues of theft, negligence, or gross mismanagement.

  • Manages overall coordination of scheduled or requested physical inventories for assigned distribution centers.

  • Establishes and maintains a viable bin verification program, consistent with company policy and procedure.

  • Documents any customer specific Standard Operating Procedures, ensures they are consistent with company policies and procedures, and submits them for approval by the Vice President of Inventory Performance.

  • Continuously reviews inventory functions to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy of processes in a dynamic environment.

  • Qualifies to execute all essential inventory control job functions at the distribution center.

Qualifying Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Three to five years of applicable experience required; one to three years of inventory control experience required

  • Must be willing to be certified on all warehouse machinery .
