The Role

For a role as Territory Manager we are looking for an entrepreneurial and high caliber self-starter with a proven track record in the Healthcare sales arena. In this role you will contribute to Abbott Rapid Diagnostics’ (ARDx) in Infectious Disease division growth and development to ensure the lead in the move towards POC (point of care) within both a primary and secondary care setting. This will involve researching, identifying, assimilating and prioritizing key opportunities within a region. You will have direct impact on earnings corresponding to the sales for the customers and the region assigned to you. The Territory Manager will ideally be based in Stavanger, Bergen or Trondheim and s(he) will be expected to travel around 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Development of customers, achieving sales targets and providing general customer service in the Norwegian market
  • Development and execution of the full Abbott RDx Infections Disease product portfolio within assigned area and business unit
  • Lead and initiate projects as well as working in project teams to meet and exceed agreed financial and strategic objectives
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and key accounts
  • Obtain full overview of the tender market in the country by working with internal and external customers and stakeholders to generate success in tenders.
  • Participating in all sales and marketing meetings as well as all important congresses 
  • Understanding sales strategies and transferring the BU’s marketing campaigns to a regional level
  • Ability to articulate issues and business opportunities with relevant customers to secure long term strategic business opportunities
  • Travel expectation: 50% travel

Qualifications

  • Higher Education in Business, Biological Science, Healthcare or other related field.
  • Proficiency in dealing with primary and secondary customers at all levels
  • Ability to build strong and compelling business cases
  • Proven track record of managing stakeholders in sales cycles that exceeds 9 months.
  • Good presentation skills
  • Working knowledge and experience with medical equipment leasing and managed services, preferred
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Contracting experience in drafting heads of terms and working through contract reviews, preferred
  • Strong proficiency in MS office suite and CRM system(s)
  • Experience in Tender management
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English language is a must
