Job Title: SOE Engineer

Key Responsibilities:


Design and Development:

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Environment (SOE) images for desktops, laptops, and other devices.

  • Ensure SOE configurations meet organizational security, compliance, and performance standards.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement automation scripts for SOE deployment.

Deployment and Maintenance:

  • Deploy SOE images across the organization using tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), Intune, or other deployment platforms.

  • Perform regular updates to SOE images, including operating system patches, software updates, and security configurations.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SOE deployment and performance.

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure SOE configurations comply with organizational security policies and industry standards.

  • Implement and maintain endpoint security measures, including antivirus, encryption, and access controls.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for SOE configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Provide regular reports on SOE performance, compliance, and updates.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with IT support teams to address user issues related to SOE.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement changes to the SOE as needed.

  • Provide training and guidance to IT staff on SOE-related processes and tools.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to improve SOE performance, security, and user experience.

  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in SOE management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and their deployment processes.

  • Experience with deployment tools such as SCCM, Intune, MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit), or similar.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation.

  • Understanding of IT security principles and practices.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, CompTIA A+, or similar.

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks.

Additional Requirements:

Security Clearance Requirement: Given the secure nature of this role, we are seeking candidates who are Australian Citizens with an active security clearance (NV1).This requirement ensures that all team members are cleared to handle sensitive information and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of security in our operations.

Must be willing to work onsite 5 days a week
