Your role and responsibilities
Our global teams develop and support solutions for Industrial Automation, enabling customers and ABB service engineers to perform maintenance, monitor system health, and predict potential issues based on KPIs and telemetry data. As a UX Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping the experience of My Control System and its various modules, working closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Software Developers located in Krakow (Poland) and other locations.
In your daily work, you will collaborate with stakeholders to map user journeys, design and refine user interfaces and mockups, and participate in discussions, grooming sessions, and requirements gathering activities to plan UX/UI tasks for upcoming program increments.
You will join a scrum team based in Krakow, consisting of software engineers, software architects, test automation engineers, and a Product Owner. You will also work with other UX analysts located in Poland and Sweden. The team is preparing to start a strategic project that will require strong UX expertise to define optimal user journeys and the overall user experience. You will be mainly accountable for:
Create and define user journeys based on real use cases, customer insights, and interviews with key stakeholders.
Participate in grooming's, requirements gatherings and other discussions to advice Product Managers and Product Owners on user journeys to guarantee the best user experience
Collaborate with UX and UI analysts to support and maintain ABB Common UI artifacts, contributing to the continuous improvement of our design processes.
Support Product Managers and Product Owners in user interface design activities to ensure alignment with product goals and user needs.
Review the user interface implemented by software engineers during the development process to address potential issues in the earliest stage.
Gather data‑driven insights and feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to enhance the user experience of our products.
Ensure product compliance with relevant accessibility standards and regulations.
Conduct UX reviews and audits, providing actionable guidance and recommendations to improve customer‑facing products
Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in IT, digital design, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in UX design, preferably on Web applications.
Strong communication in English and stakeholder‑management skills, enabling effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
Solid understanding of user interface design principles, supporting product teams in aligning UI solutions with business goals and user needs.
Ability to collect, interpret, and translate data-driven insights—both quantitative and qualitative—into actionable UX improvements.
Experience with Figma and its related modules. Figma Make is a plus.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and regulations (e.g., WCAG), ensuring product compliance and inclusive user experiences.
Proactive, analytical, and detail‑oriented mindset, with the ability to balance user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives.
Ability to collect, interpret, and translate data-driven insights—both quantitative and qualitative—into actionable UX improvements.
