Job Title: Sr Analyst, FP&A – Type 2 Franchise

Position Overview:

Insulet Corporation is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Analyst to join our growing FP&A team. This newly created role will provide financial support to the Type 2 Diabetes franchise team. This role will provide financial and business decision support to the key leaders and their respective organizations. This individual will be responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis for these groups and help establish robust tracking, dashboards, and analytics. This role will assist in forecasting processes, including the annual budget and long-range planning, analyze results and partner with other members of the finance and executive team to ensure that current period financial objectives are achieved. In addition, this role will provide financial analysis that will drive executive decision making. This position will report to the Sr. Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis.

Responsibilities:

· Financial Planning: Support, Develop, and Improve the budget/forecasting processes for the franchise leader in the Type 2 Diabetes franchise. Provide exceptional support to leadership to drive strong financial results and provide actionable insights to drive efficiencies and growth.

· Drive Financial Results: Continuously monitor operating expense activities to ensure that financial commitments are met. Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce costs through data-based insights.

· Financial Reporting: Provide the Franchise leadership team with regular financial reporting and insightful variance analysis on a consistent basis.

· Financial Analysis: Leverage technology to provide analysis and tools to support key decision making and investment opportunities.

· Financial Modeling: Partner with franchise leaders and product managers to develop cross-functional business cases with supporting financial models. Measure and track return on investment.

· Business Controls: Advocate for strong business controls and support Sarbanes-Oxley processes within Insulet. Partner with the accounting team to ensure that all expenses are reported as accurately and completely as possible.

· Assist in Tax reporting and various requests.

· Process & Design Improvement: Develop new standards for efficient and accurate financial reporting to help inform leadership expeditiously.

· Special Projects: Work on specific unique projects which may call for reporting and analysis skills, including continuous improvement activities.

· Teamwork and Training: The person in this role should work well with the various team members in the department and the broader Insulet community.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. MBA is a plus.

· 3-6 years of financial planning and analysis experience in a global growth-oriented, publicly-traded company, broad finance background that includes financial planning and analysis, accounting, finance, internal management reporting systems, budgeting, acquisitions and investment analysis and financial modeling. Previous manufacturing/distribution and healthcare experience a plus.

· Proven track record as an effective financial business partner with a strong internal customer service focus.

· Proven ability to learn new accounting & reporting tools.

· Proven ability to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

· Strong communication, presence, and relationship building skills, with the ability to interpret and summarize data to aid management in achieving strategic and operational goals.

· Analytical thinker with strong business acumen, ability to summarize complex financial data into clear and concise recommendations for strategic decision support. Systems savvy - experience with Planful reporting tools is a plus.

· Experience with tier-one ERP and Business Performance Management tools required, experience with Host/ Planful and or SAP / SAC a plus.

· Excellent MS Excel and financial modeling skills are required.

· Able to synthesize and analyze large quantities of data to create useful information and concise analyses.

· Able to effectively manage projects; results oriented and able to roll-up the sleeves to accomplish necessary tasks.

· Able to work in a fast pace, high-growth environment.

· Has the highest standards of integrity reflected in all external and internal communications.

Physical Requirements:

· General office environment, may sit for long periods of time.

· May require 5-10% travel.

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $80,200.00 - $120,550.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
