Job Description Summary

We are seeking a results-oriented Operations Leader to support plant operations in driving plant-wide operational performance across Gas Turbine and Component Repair operations.

This role focuses on strengthening execution discipline, operations analytics, labor utilization, cost productivity, and cross-functional coordination across all repair value streams. The incumbent will work closely with Operations Leaders of each cell/department to ensure alignment, performance visibility, and achievement of goals in safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and financial performance.

The role serves as a SQDC performance integrator, translating operational data into actionable insights to enhance execution and delivery excellence.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Shop Operational Support

  • Support shop Operations in driving overall plant operational priorities and performance objectives.

  • Partner with Operations Leaders across Gas Turbine and Component Repair cells to ensure alignment between operational execution and financial outcomes.

  • Identify performance gaps and coordinate cross-functional actions to address them.

  • Reinforce execution discipline and accountability across repair cell operations.

  • Lead Shop Admin in executing shop priorities.

2. Operations Analytics, Cost Performance & KPI Governance

  • Work with Shop Operations to track operational KPIs that directly influence financial performance and cost structure.

  • Drive tracking and governance of applied hours and vouchering discipline to ensure operational rigor and cost accuracy.

  • Monitor effective labor utilization, productivity trends, standard vs. actual performance, and cost drivers within the repair process.

  • Consolidate and manage KPIs including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity, Inventory, Applied Hours, Labor Efficiency, and Absorption.

  • Analyze variances in labor efficiency, throughput, and cost performance, and provide insights to Operations Leaders to support corrective actions.

  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards and structured performance reporting.

  • Support inputs related to headcount, capacity, productivity, and operational cost trends (working with Finance).

  • Ensure alignment between operational performance metrics and financial commitments.


3. Operational Cadence & Management System

  • Lead and coordinate weekly plant operations cadence with Operations Leaders from each cell/department.

  • Standardize meeting structures, KPI reviews, action tracking, and escalation processes.

  • Ensure transparency and accountability in actions impacting delivery reliability and cost productivity.

  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination between Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, HR, and Finance.


4. Continuous Improvement & Operational Productivity

  • Support shop Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Drive initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, productivity enhancement, labor efficiency, WIP management, and cost optimization.

  • Support implementation of digital tools that enhance operational visibility and performance tracking.

  • Track and validate productivity benefits and cost improvement outcomes from operational initiatives.


5. Capacity & Resource Planning Support

  • Support capacity planning and workload balancing across cells & lean lines.

  • Provide analytical insights on manpower productivity and effective labor utilization.

  • Support evaluation of capital investments and resource decisions from an operational performance perspective.

  • Strengthen execution planning to ensure delivery excellence and cost discipline.


6. Additional Responsibilities

  • Undertake additional assignments and operational initiatives as required to support overall plant objectives.

  • Provide support on special projects or cross-functional priorities as directed by plant leadership.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Finance, or related discipline.

  • 6–10 years of experience in manufacturing, MRO, industrial operations, or operational performance roles.

  • Solid understanding of labor efficiency, applied hours governance, and manufacturing cost drivers.

  • Experience working closely with both Operations and Finance functions.

  • Working knowledge of Lean or operational excellence methodologies.

  • Strong analytical capability and proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI.

  • Structured, disciplined, and strong in driving follow-through.
