What You Will Do:

Federal Civilian Agencies consultants support Federal government clients to better meet their mission.  We work directly with our clients to develop innovative solutions that help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their organization. 

As a consultant, you will work in a team to create and present quality deliverables that support essential project workstreams.  You will gather and analyze data, identify gaps and trends, and make recommendations related to baseline performance and structure, as well as established best practices and benchmarks.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Support the development of operating concepts, operations models, and governance models.
  • Work collaboratively with client stakeholders to identify, plan, and execute key projects to improve quality, reduce costs, increase productivity, and minimize waste and rework.
  • Conduct current state assessments, analyze existing business practices, and facilitate workshops to identify opportunities for resource utilization improvement, process efficiencies, and enhanced outcomes.
  • Co-facilitate client meetings, interviews, or workgroups.
  • Working with a team to develop solutions to solve process and policy challenges for CFO clients.
  • Work collaboratively in a team to develop solutions to solve organizational challenges and optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
  • Work with diverse stakeholders to drive towards consensus.
  • Support the development of work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for client implementation.
  • Develop business process improvements to existing programs.
  • Provide change management recommendations to clients.
  • Develop communications and executive presentations for audiences such as agency leadership, the White House, and Congress.

What You Will Need:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • One (1) year minimum consulting experience with business process analysis and improvement, facilitation, workshops, and presentations. (Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with products such as communications and executive presentations.
  • Candidates should reside within a reasonable number of miles to a Washington, D.C., MD or Northern VA Guidehouse Office.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience in Federal consulting or working with Federal agencies.
  • Masters Degree in a business-related field.
