With a media buying platform that helps brands deliver a more insightful and relevant ad experience for consumers –– and sets a new standard for global reach, accuracy, and transparency. We are proud of the culture we have built. We value the unique experiences and perspectives that each person brings to The Trade Desk, and we are committed to fostering inclusive spaces where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work every day.

So, if you are talented, driven, creative, and eager to join a dynamic, globally-connected team, then we want to talk!

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The ideal candidate is technical, data-driven, creative, and customer-focused. They have the passion and ability to contribute to the process of discovering what will delight our clients and a proven interest in driving technical projects with deep customer empathy. The Trade Desk Product Team hires courageous, passionate PMs who set big goals and execute on them. We help you grow and challenge you with hard, meaningful work. We celebrate our successes and learn from our failures together. We value and develop strong leadership, asking our PMs to take on ambitious and often ambiguous projects that promise to extend our lead in the industry.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
In this role, you will be accelerating innovation across The Trade Desk by democratizing our data and delivering connected experiences to safely productize new analytics. Analytics and actionable insights are a critical part of The Trade Desk's customer promise. By delivering new datasets along side data catalog tools and data lifecycle management processes which "just work" in a mixed cloud architecture, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of how we generate insights that enable our customers to make data driven decisions for their campaigns. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of enhancing and optimizing data development workflows for technical teams. You are skilled at measuring impact for internal systems and tools. You are able to analyze problems and form a well-researched, data-driven recommendation which meets a breadth of needs to improve productivity. The Trade Desk is a high bandwidth, low latency, data infrastructure with trillions of rows of data ready for analysis. You’ll need solid data analytics, data governance, and data access best practices. The position requires excellent communication skills, success at effectively working across organizations and functional areas, and an ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. The Trade Desk is a fast-paced and complex environment, and you’ll need to identify problems in advance and design with a vision across the end to end solution, including shaping strategic approaches into milestones and stages for delivery. You’ll gain additional expertise in the overall industry and become an expert in the Trade Desk platform.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience where you demonstrated a sustained track record of making significant contributions to large and impactful software projects.
  • Subject matter expertise in Data Analytics, Data Governance, Data Protection, and Data Science.
  • Experience in Ad Tech industry a bonus.
  • Understanding of common Cloud-based development products a bonus (i.e. Databricks, Snowflake)
  • Excellent communication and questioning skills both in large and small groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams towards a shared vision.
  • Experience creating product vision and strategy and influencing executive stakeholders to fund key initiatives.
  • Grit: Sometimes solutions take creative thinking and multiple iterations. You are prepared to try many different approaches to find the right answer.
  • Collaborative: The best PMs are not necessarily those with the best ideas. They actively seek input, leading and contributing to constructive discussions that are inclusive of many differing perspectives to ensure the right decisions are identified and implemented.
  • Empathy: As a PM you are the voice of the customer and are able to represent them from a position of deep understanding.
