This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing and delivery of Rx accurately and timely. Ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet patient’s needs, and counsel with appropriate documentation to all patients. Provide friendly, positive, and pro-active interaction with all internal and external customers as well create awareness and educate customers through public relations.

Working primarily with the Healthwatch Pharmacy dispensing software, this Colleague assists the pharmacy team to optimize dispensary efficiencies and ensure prescription billings are processed in a timely fashion. Is also responsible for maintaining prescription record keeping in accordance with current legislation.

What you’ll do

· Maintains electronic patient information

· Prescription Order Entry into HealthWatch

· Ensures compliance with prescription record keeping for narcotics, controlled medications, and medications with ODB Limited Use authorizations

· Prepares billing information for medications

· Ensures medications dispensed have proper labelling as required

· Non-Sterile Specialty Compounding as required

· Compliance Packaging as required

· Maintains drug database, building new drugs as required

· Order & Receive Medications

· Inventory Counts

· Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

· Computer Skills, Windows & MS Office

· Working knowledge of Healthwatch Pharmacy Software (preferred)

· Mathematical Skills, including calculation of fractions & ratios

· Detail-Oriented

· Works Well with a Team, Strong Customer-Service Skills,

· Excellent Verbal Communication Skills & Telephone Skills, Good Listener, Follows Instructions Well, Discreet,
