This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of critical trade and cash operations that directly support investment outcomes and risk management. You will play a key role in ensuring end‑to‑end trade lifecycle integrity while partnering closely with Front Office, Custodians, and Technology teams. The role provides exposure to complex investment operations, leadership opportunities through process improvement initiatives, and the chance to strengthen your expertise in a highly visible, mission‑critical function.
Position Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform day‑to‑day operational support across Trade Support, Trade Matching, Settlement, and Cash Management functions.
- Act as a key point of contact for Front Office (Portfolio Managers and Traders), Brokers, Custodians, and internal Investment teams to investigate and resolve trade and cash‑related queries and issues.
- Proactively manage operational risks related to trades and cash movements, ensuring timely resolution to prevent failed settlements or financial exposure.
- Produce, review, and analyze periodic trade and cash reporting for onshore stakeholders, highlighting trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and control while mitigating operational risk.
- Partner with Technology and Data teams to support system enhancements, automation, and data quality improvements.
- Communicate significant production issues, risks, and operational challenges to Management in a timely and structured manner.
- Provide support on operational and strategic projects by conducting analysis, identifying requirements, and implementing solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in assigned processes, providing guidance to team members and supporting escalation management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business discipline.
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in Trade Operations, Middle Office, or Investment Operations.
- Strong working knowledge of the trade lifecycle, securities instruments, and operational processes.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting.
- Proven analytical, problem‑solving, and diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve issues independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in engaging senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to identify breaks, exceptions, and mismatches accurately.
- Willingness to work onsite in Quezon City and on a fixed day to mid‑shift schedule, based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multiple asset classes across trade support, settlements, and cash management.
- Working knowledge of Bloomberg, BlackRock Aladdin, BBH, and custodian platforms.
- Advanced understanding of cash management, reconciliations, pricing, data management, transfers, and settlements.
- Experience driving or supporting operational transformation, automation, or control enhancement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, high‑pressure, and fast‑paced environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to use diplomacy and tact when resolving complex or sensitive issues.
