We are seeking a talented individual to join our Life, Absence and Disability team at Mercer. This role can be based in one of our cities in which we have a Mercer east coast office location. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role provides many aspects of expertise and support specific to evaluating, shaping, and designing absence, paid time off, disability, and life programs. You will work in a team environment and contribute to overall client health and productivity strategies.
We will count on you to:
Lead complex client engagements, including managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewal, business placement, benchmarking, and other studies.
Assist in the development of sophisticated benefits design and renewal strategies while driving the development of tools and solutions to address complex client issues.
Determine the full scope of services provided to the client and set roles/responsibilities within the client team.
Be accountable for revenue/profitability for client accounts and projects.
Generate sales by expanding revenues from existing clients and by leading prospecting efforts with new clients.
Establish effective carrier/vendor relationships to serve clients in benefits procurement and administration (eligibility, claims, billing, plan implementation, contracts, plan changes, and necessary amendments).
Provide mentoring and coaching to direct reports and project team members.
Delegate effectively to provide developmental opportunities to team members.
What you need to have:
BA or BS.
Minimum 8 years of Life, Absence, and Disability Insurance experience.
Experience managing a team and people management.
Experience with building and executing strategy within the client team.
Strong client-facing skills within a consulting environment.
Strong communication skills – ability to deliver positive and negative messages, along with project transparency.
State Life/Health license.
