The Product Innovation Manager is individually responsible for, or manages a team that is responsible for, driving the conceptualization, development, and launch of cutting-edge financial technology products. They will explore emerging trends, identify market opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure buy-in for innovative initiatives that position the company as a leader in the space. They will be (or become) a subject matter expert in financial technology, financial products and regulatory frameworks. Acting as a key customer advocate, they will champion user-centered design principles and agile processes to enhance customer experience.

Continuously monitors the market and competitor strategies to ensure pricing is in line to provide consumers and/or clients a fair price while maintaining market share and/or deposit levels. Plans, directs and facilitates all phases of the pricing strategy changes from inception through introduction into the marketplace. Ensures products meet regulatory and industry standards.

Translates technological advances and consumer needs into usable and marketable products. Plans, directs and facilitates all phases of the product life cycle, from inception through introduction into the marketplace. Ensures products meet regulatory and industry standards.


Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Aides in the identification and evaluation of emerging technologies—such as AI, automation, and blockchain—to address customer needs and capitalize on new market opportunities.
  • Conceptualizes and prototypes new product ideas, leveraging data-driven insights, customer feedback, and industry research.
  • Collaborates with internal teams—including other product groups, compliance, marketing, operations and sales—to ensure product viability and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develops compelling business cases and secures stakeholder buy-in for innovative initiatives.
  • Assists in developing and keeping current all product documentation.
  • Monitors current and future regulatory trends and requirements
  • Serves as a customer advocate, demonstrating deep customer empathy to design innovative solutions that reduce cognitive load and empower users to achieve rapid success.
  • Researches and keeps current competitive analysis information.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Engineering, Business or equivalent technical field. Required

Work Experience:

  • 5+ Years Related experience in product development and/or line experience working with products. Required


Skills and Abilities:

  • Solid understanding the impact of regulatory changes to the products
  • Demonstrated understanding of product development life cycle
  • Strong analytical skills/financial acumen
  • Demonstrates the ability to create strategic plans and lay out a strategic course of action to drive future business growth for a specific product
  • Self-starter: forward thinking, with a positive/can-do attitude
  • Demonstrates the ability to translate customer needs into marketable product features
  • Ability to communicate effectively to internal teams, key partners and executive management
  • Demonstrates the ability to translate client needs into marketable product features
  • Secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range

Minimum:

$93,750.00 USD

Maximum:

$160,000.00 USD
