Responsibilities:
- Patrols the internal/external premises while maintaining a high degree of courtesy and good judgment in dealing with the public.
- Monitors visitor conduct, ascertains legitimacy of suspected unauthorized persons, controls parking and traffic flows and enforces parking regulations.
- Maintains a high degree of tact and diplomacy at all times.
- Demonstrates ability to deal with diverse social, ethnic, and religious groups.
- Communicates with public in a clear and concise manner.
- Maintains a working knowledge of traffic, parking, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Provides physical restraint against those who endanger staff, patients, and visitors.
- Provides escort to personnel as appropriate.
- Unlocks offices and facilities and secures patient valuables.
- Demonstrates ability to use common sense and good judgment.
- Applies restraining techniques, as required, to maintain safety and order within hospital environment.
- Reports safety, security and/or fire hazards.
- Recognizes and makes recommendations on safety violations and hazards.
- Demonstrates knowledge of fire control warning system, evacuation routes and procedures.
- Responds to requests for assistance from clinic personnel, patients, and visitors in a timely manner.
- Exhibits a positive attitude and the ability to show empathy while remaining objective at all times.

Education:
Certifications:
- Valid Driver's License (VDL), Chauffeur License preferred.
- Maintains requirements for possession of a valid Florida Driver's License.
- State of Florida Class D license required.

Work Experience:
- At least 2 years’ previous experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:
- Essential Duties: Demonstrates ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing, walking and/or operating a motor vehicle.
- Physical Duties: Physical Duties: This position requires extensive walking, standing, and sitting. Frequent talking and listening when directing or investigating concerns/incidents.
Frequent use of the phone, computer, fax machine and company vehicles.
- Working Conditions: The majority of the time the employee will spend commuting between and in the clinical buildings. Potential exposure to blood and blood borne pathogens is minimal while performing inquisitions and interviews. Exposure to chemicals during the course of an investigation may require the use of personal protective equipment
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Proper attire and security accessories. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
