Ameresco is seeking a technically oriented Project Coordinator to support the delivery of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and controls scopes across Federal Government project sites in the Fredericton region. This role is site‑based and provides critical coordination, documentation, and field support to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with identifying, soliciting, and prequalifying contractors and vendors to support project scope delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Ameresco Project Team to monitor subcontracted mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and controls work, ensuring alignment with design intent, technical requirements, and schedule.
  • Coordinate the preparation, distribution, and approval workflow for tender documents.
  • Manage RFIs, site instructions, and shop drawing submissions, ensuring timely review and tracking.
  • Provide regular construction progress updates and recommend mitigation strategies for risks related to quality, deliverables, or schedule.
  • Support construction management activities, including onsite supervision and inspection of subcontractor work to ensure quality assurance and adherence to timelines.
  • Participate in project meetings, including start-up, construction, commissioning, and close-out sessions.
  • Track and reconcile project costs against construction schedules, commitments, and purchase orders.
  • Lead and manage the project close-out documentation process and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate electronic document control within company servers and file-sharing platforms.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support successful project execution.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance (minimum) as a condition of employment.
  • Valid Canadian provincial driver’s license with the ability to operate a motor vehicle independently.
  • Diploma or degree in construction management, project management, business administration, or a related field.

  • Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities and dynamic project conditions.
  • High level of accuracy and efficiency in delivering internal and external documentation.
  • Technical understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, building automation (controls), and electrical systems.
  • Fundamental knowledge of budgeting, cost control, scheduling, and billing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative information.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Project.
  • Training related to safety, quality, or environmental programs (e.g., ISO).
  • Education, training, or experience in engineering, energy analysis, or related technical disciplines.
  • Ability to travel to support additional Federal Government projects as needed.
