A day in the life.

An Insurance Marketing Analyst Lead begins their day by serving as a resource for the team, analyzing client needs and providing well-supported recommendations on coverage and marketing strategies. They collaborate closely with Producers to assist in sales efforts, including responding to Requests for Proposals, while maintaining strong, ongoing relationships with insurance carriers through various communication channels. Staying informed on market trends and risk transfer alternatives is essential, as is coordinating with local leadership to align line-of-business strategies and promote best practices. Throughout the day, the analyst skillfully negotiates pricing and policy terms with carriers, ensuring the best fit for clients within established marketing guidelines.

In addition to leading the renewal process by preparing applications and submissions, the Marketing Analyst lead supports the development and execution of marketing and renewal strategies, working directly with account teams and carrier representatives. They utilize client management systems and other technology platforms to track progress and document interactions efficiently. Continuous professional development is maintained through attendance at seminars and carrier meetings, keeping the analyst current on new products and legislative changes. Mentoring colleagues and providing backup support to account teams further demonstrate their commitment to team success, while remaining adaptable to other duties as assigned by management.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience with at least five years in the insurance industry
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance markets, policies, and coverage issues across all states and industries served.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage workload, guide teams, and foster a productive, service-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasion abilities to build relationships, negotiate effectively, and motivate staff.
  • High level of discretion and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Accept accountability for the quality of work

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

  • Life and Health insurance license or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Advanced degree(s)
  • Insurance industry certifications in addition to necessary license(s)
  • Significant prior experience leading teams and/or projects
