Leidos is seeking a Cloud Engineer for a position as part of a team supporting AFLCMC/HNCD CS&D in San Antonio, TX. This is an onsite position.
Primary Responsibilities
Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on the Azure platform
Managing and monitoring cloud infrastructures to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency
Automating cloud deployments and configuration management using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and ARM templates
Ensuring data protection and compliance with relevant laws and regulations through Azure security features
Collaborating with development teams to integrate cloud services into software applications
Conducting disaster recovery planning and implementing backup strategies to maintain data integrity
Optimizing resource utilization and implementing cost-saving measures
Staying current with Azure services updates and industry best practices to recommend improvements to existing architectures
Providing technical support and guidance to stakeholders on cloud-related issues
Developing and maintaining documentation for cloud architectures, procedures, and training materials
Facilitating the migration of legacy systems to the Azure cloud platform
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with business processes.
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS degree with 5+ years of relevant cloud experience
Current active DoD Top Secret with SCI eligibility and ability to maintain the clearance
DoD 8570 IAT/IAM Level II equivalent certification
Demonstrated proficiency with Azure’s core services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, Azure Active Directory and basic knowledge of networking and security best practices.
Handson experience with Azure portal, Azure PowerShell and Azure CLI and Azure Resource Manager.
Demonstrated, hands-on experience creating and managing cloud infrastructures
Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships
A team player capable of high performance and flexibility in a dynamic working environment
Preferred Qualifications
Azure Fundamentals (900) certification.
Experience with programming and infrastructure automation (JSON, YAML, Python, Terraform)
Experience implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) for various systems
Azure Associate certification in Administration, Security Engineer, Data Engineering or Database.
Other industry certifications a plus
Other Cloud services experience (AWS, Google, etc).
