Event Assistant - Reuters Events (Paid Internship)

 

This 12-month fixed term contract (internship) will be based in our London office with hybrid working available.

Reuters Events are looking for an enthusiastic Event Assistant with a can-do attitude to join their Event Operations Team. In this varied and supportive position, you'll help us organise a busy portfolio of virtual and physical international events. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a start in the events industry, and learn the foundational skillsets required to really excel within the events industry.

About the Role

 

As an Event Assistant at Reuters Events, you will:

  • Play a supportive role in helping the Event Ops team plan and manage the end-to-end logistics for our portfolio of events. Many of these are in-person and will take place in international locations.

  • Supporting on a variety of key tasks with guidance and support from your manager. You might find yourself assisting with finding venues, learning the ropes of managing contracts and working with our external partners and suppliers to ensure our events are of the highest quality, with the best return on investment.

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to bring the events to life and ensure their commercial success.

  • Likely attend some of our events, to ensure smooth operational success on the day.

 

About You

 

To be our Event Assistant, you will likely have:

  • A strong interest in the events industry, with the desire to get involved and grow your event management skillset.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively, work efficiently and juggle competing priorities.

  • Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning skills.

  • The desire to learn more about how a great event comes to fruition. You'll be keen to grow your skillset through learning more about health and safety guidelines and practices for in-person events.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to speak with stakeholders at a variety of levels.
