The Opportunity
The Marketing Production Manager oversees and drives the planning, management and execution of marketing projects, including the workflow, budgeting and timely delivery of initiatives. They identify all the tasks that need to be completed within a marketing project and then strategically delegate those tasks to the appropriate team members. This includes facilitating daily stand-ups with team members, work backlog prioritization, removing obstacles for the team and ensuring that work is delivered on time.
What You Will Do
Production and “end to end” project management of all print and related media including: digital, brochures, one pagers, presentations, posters, newsletters, letters etc.
Owner and expert user of all Marketing Communications workflow systems in concert with Marketing Production team. Using Workfront, and Wire Drive, the Marketing Production Manager will provide tracking, scheduling, and reporting on all jobs being completed in Marketing Communications. Recommendations on workflow improvements are expected as are keeping up to date with system updates and software
Ensure typographical standards and Fidelity creative guidelines are closely followed to ensure consistent high-quality deliverables. Track all digital artwork to print/fulfillment vendors while ensuring predefined print specifications. Archive files according to marketing production file management best practices
Inventory planning and maintenance - provide excellence in stock management and inventory support for marketing managers. Track and manage all marketing materials in inventory. Maintain and update FIC and FCI inventory levels, forecast usage and expiry of marketing materials available for order through OrderExpress
Participates in the development and completion of special projects in conjunction with internal and external vendor partners. Partner with Legal, Operations and Advertising on special projects (simplified prospectus, application forms, ad campaigns etc). Track expenses associated with campaigns ensuring deliverables are on time and within budget. Identify and promote areas for cost efficiencies
The Expertise You Bring
Excellent written and oral communications skills. The ability to effectively engage with a wide range of internal and external clients/vendors ranging from junior marketing staff to senior management
Expert technical skills with Fidelity workflow and production systems including: Workfront, Wire Drive, OrderExpress, Adobe Acrobat and other tools
Diplomacy, calm and problem-solving abilities demonstrated "under pressure". Marketing Production Managers are the "go-to" people for last minute changes, challenges, and emergencies. Productivity, professionalism and leadership in the face of shifting timelines and expectations define this position
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
General knowledge of financial services or mutual fund industry experience
Required Skills & Qualifications
University Degree, College Degree, or equivalent work experience
3+ years’ experience as a professional Production manager in an advertising or Marketing department environment or similar; experience with print, online and/or broadcast production, experience in the Mutual Fund/Financial Services industry
4 years of experience working as a Project Manager, or Scrum Master in an Agile marketing organization is highly desirable
Advanced courses in print production management, print production, graphic design (general), Adobe software, MSOFFICE, are considered an asset
