The Opportunity

Are you ready to lead a high-performing team at the forefront of energy innovation? At Hitachi Energy, we’re looking for a strategic and inspiring leader to guide our Gas Insulated Switchgear and Generator Circuit Breaker business across North America. In this role, you’ll empower a diverse team of sales professionals, project managers, and engineers, acting as a vital link between our customers in the U.S. and Canada and our global factory teams in Switzerland.

You’ll drive business development, ensure seamless project execution, and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. With responsibility for over 100+ projects annually, this is your chance to shape the future of sustainable energy while delivering exceptional results.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead and develop a cross-functional team focused on Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Generator Circuit Breakers (GCB) solutions.
  • Collaborate with global factory teams to align on strategy and execution.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships across North America.
  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and financial success.
  • Drive business development and support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Report financial performance and progress to leadership in North America and Switzerland.
  • Promote synergy and accountability across departments and remote teams.
  • Implement business unit strategy with full P&L responsibility.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the energy sector or similar industry.
  • Proven leadership in sales or project execution.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across cultures and geographies.
  • Must have work authorization to work in the United States.
