KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Is knowledgeable of registration policies and best practices, state and federal laws, and third party payer requirements associated with patient access activities. Holds the team accountable for adherence to them.
2. Assists in the development of and maintains general knowledge of revenue cycle functions.
3. Engages in activities that support people management including payroll, employee performance reviews, and resource scheduling.
4. Promotes and strengthens employee engagement.
5. Participates in process improvement, patient satisfaction, and workplace safety initiatives.
6. Develops and maintains interpersonal relationships with team members and customers.
7. Serves as back up to the manager, patient access in their absence or at their direction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate’s degree in a related field
• Three years of experience in registration, insurance, or patient billing
• Three years of leadership experience including leading work teams and/or projects
• Preferred - Experience with registration functions in EPIC
This is a 24/7 department.
Hours are 2:30PM-11:00PM with on call responsibilities 3PM-3AM Mon-Fri. On call every 5th weekend.
