Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Dosimetrist to join the Central Maine Medical Center Radiation Therapy Team!

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, benefit eligible position.

The Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center is committed to providing high-quality care close to home. In order to offer the best care available, our interdisciplinary team of caregivers continually researches new technologies, meets regularly to discuss case presentations, uses data from the cancer registry to monitor patient outcomes.

Central Maine Healthcare offers some of the most advanced technology, including image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and RapidArc technology. These techniques deliver highly powerful and precise radiation to the tumor, while preserving the healthy tissue. That precise targeting means fewer treatments are usually necessary and you’ll experience fewer side effects.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consults with radiation oncologists and physicists on treatment strategies for patients in order to provide optimal treatment plans.
  • Calculates and checks treatment parameters, instructs radiation therapists regarding implementation of treatment plans and reviews patient’s charts for dosimetry accuracy.


Regulatory Requirements:
• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) or eligible
