CommBank’s Business Banking Operations (BBO) function is looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join our Business Lending function within our Collateral Management Services (CMS) team. This team is responsible for the fulfilment, settlement and servicing of Business Lending products Including Business Loans, Merchant Facilities, Bank Guarantees, CommBiz and Audit Certificates for CBA.  
 
We support our Business Banking colleagues and all other segments in delivering exceptional service to a wide range of customers including small businesses, franchises and large-scale corporate customers. We have around 350+ passionate colleagues based across Australia and we work closely together to ensure the same exceptional and consistent level of service is provided to all of our customers. 

Please note: This is a 12 Month Max Term Opportunity, or secondment for our internal team members.
 

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Specialist to join our Commercial CMS team. We are a fast paced team that manages a high volume of collateral management requests daily on behalf of our Business customers. The role will be based in Sydney. 
 

You will be responsible for processing a high volume of Commercial CMS Update applications, meeting our operational objectives and deadlines, whilst maintaining strong customer communication. 

Other responsibilities include: 
 

  • Analysing and reviewing Complex Commercial Loan applications and documentation to identify and obtain data to update the customer’s collateral position.
  • Accurate input of customer data into the Collateral Management System. Ensuring all relevant securities and loan accounts relevant to the customer’s loan application have been entered correctly as per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Providing superior levels of internal and external customer service by responding to and managing customer and stakeholder enquiries, complaints and issues
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the processes within your team or work area 
  • Undertaking investigations in respect to customer requests and/or as a result of transactional or exception based issues
  • Contributing to team culture and team huddles 
  • Completing general administrative duties as required 
  • Practising prudent risk management by identifying and responding to business risks

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have the below experience as well as an interest in building their career within Business or Commercial lending or Operations.
 

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the home lending/commercial lending process 
  • Strong customer service experience with the ability to build relationships with relevant stakeholders 
  • An adaptable and quick learner who is able to keep up with the varying complexities of our processes and procedures. 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Strong work ethic with a team orientated outlook
