Job Description:

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cleanroom Manager to lead and oversee CMP cleanroom operations in a semiconductor environment. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while driving operational excellence. The successful candidate must thrive in a dynamic environment and effectively support evolving technical requirements from R&D and Business teams. Key responsibilities include improving equipment reliability and availability, optimizing cost performance, implementing equipment upgrades, and developing robust Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems. This position plays a critical role in supporting product development and technology advancement through high-performing and efficient cleanroom operations.

In this role you will:

  • Lead CMP cleanroom operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

  • Ensure high equipment availability through effective maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and capital project execution.

  • Drive process control, SPC implementation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Optimize cleanroom cost structure, equipment performance, and process consistency.

  • Partner with R&D, MSE, FTE, and other stakeholders to support product development and business growth.

  • Develop and mentor engineering teams while fostering a strong EHS and continuous improvement culture.

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and fluency in English

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

  • MS degree in Engineering or related field.

  • 8+ years of semiconductor experience with expertise in CMP processes, cleanroom operations, and EHS requirements.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Hands-on experience with 300mm CMP equipment, capable of independently troubleshooting tool malfunctions, defect analysis, diagnosing root causes, and resolving equipment alarms.

  • Solid background in SPC, process control, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with semiconductor process equipment; AMAT, Ebara, or OnTrak systems experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).

  • Fluent in English.

Your success will be measured by:

  • Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain stable, efficient, and contamination-free CMP cleanroom operations.

  • Drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and cleanroom cost performance.

  • Achieve measurable improvements in safety performance, process quality, and SPC metrics.

  • Lead effective root cause analysis and corrective actions to minimize operational disruptions.

  • Demonstrate strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and data-driven decision making.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and teamwork.

  • Effectively support R&D and business objectives through cross-functional collaboration and execution excellence.

  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and evolving technical and business requirements.
