Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all grooming and bathing areas, ensuring the bathing and grooming supplies are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored

· Manage the grooming schedule to efficiently coordinate the demand of the client’s needs with the availability of the grooming staff, leading to an average completion of 10-12 grooms per day (w/bathing assistance) OR 6 grooms a day (w/o bathing assistance)

· Communicate and educate clients, over the phone and in-person, about grooming products, services, specials and grooming and bathing policies and standards

· Complete all client communication, including phone calls, emails, greeting and report cards in a timely manner as outlined by policies and procedures

· Perform thorough client communication when establishing and maintaining electronic records, including client preferences or instructions for grooming, animal’s habits and sensitivities, and any other personal preferences or requests from the client

· Ensure the safety and the security of the animals by using proper animal restraint and grooming procedures

· Thoroughly communicate expectations and supervise all staff members helping to administer baths to any animal being groomed by the grooming team in a positive and productive manner

· Properly train, supervise and develop all bathing team members on proper bathing policies and work to develop their skills in a positive manner on an ongoing basis

· Complete all grooms on time and to the grooming and bathing policy and standards, ensuring the animals are dried and groomed to the client’s expectations and instructions

· Preform the “perfect groom” up to and including, bathing, ear cleaning, nail trim, anal gland expression, brush outs and sanitary cuts, if needed

· Complete all tasks as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

· Self-driven, takes initiative, working with minimal supervision and direction

· Strong physical stamina to remain on your feet for longer periods of time

· Able to work nights and weekends, as needed

· Availability to work weekends & holidays

· Ability to demonstrate and uphold ’s core values

REQUIREMENTS

· High school diploma or GED

· Understanding and ability to properly and safely restrain animals

· One year experience as a Groomer, Groomers Apprentice or has received formal instruction from a reputable grooming program

· Computer proficiency

· Lift 50lbs to waist height

· Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching

· At least 18 years of age at the time of hire
